The Hardie Polymers Cycle 300 Cancer Research challenge

Nine sporty staff at Hardie Polymers are taking part in a Cancer Research event called Cycle 300.

The idea is to cycle 300 miles throughout September. Hardies are registered for the challenge and will be promoting their fundraising page to suppliers and customers by email and also social media.

Hardie Polymers neighbour, Powerhouse Fitness, kindly donated the bike pictured above to help the team to achieve their target.

After the event the team aim to sell or auction the bike and pass the money to the charity.

“With the help of a sturdy cycling bike and indeed a strict rotating timetable, nine of us here at Hardie Polymers Ltd are aiming to cycle a combined 300 miles this September in aid of Cancer Research UK! As an organisation we are celebrating beating cancer sooner and can’t wait to embrace the challenge…”

The goal then is to achieve 300 miles and anything above it is a bonus. This is a team effort with 300 miles a total distance, not a target for each person! Even a very short distance each day brings the team closer to their target.

Managing Director, Fergus Hardie is a keen cyclist so will do the rest!

Fergus is no stranger to charity cycle challenges. He has been a supporter of charity fundraising for many years now.

We hope readers could offer some support and help the cyclists reach their target of raising £1000 for this excellent cause!
