2018 is history but it was a fantastic year for Hardie Polymers.

We thought we’d catch our breath and summarise all our news from the last year.

Buying polymers? – the reasons for selecting the Best Polymer Distributor

We kicked off 2018 with a reminder of the many awards we have won in the last few years.

So why did we win these awards?  We demonstrated the great service we give our customers when they are buying polymers.

Our reach is wide – we work with over 350 leading European suppliers.

What have plastics ever done for us?

We are long-standing members of the British Plastics Federation (BPF).

So in February we posted 7 reasons you should love plastic. This was based on facts from the BPF’s trusted website.

A charity cycle challenge with beautiful scenery

Fergus Hardie, Managing Director of Hardie Polymers, undertook a charity cycle challenge.

He raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support by cycling 66 miles/106 km in the Loch Ness Etape on 29^th April.

Announcing the new expanded professional polymer team

We were pleased, in May, to reveal our expanded line up. Additional new personnel joined our growing professional polymer team.

Our Team – Getting great polymer supplier deals for you

We continued introducing the Hardie Polymers team and featured two of our staff last year. Our Logistics Administrator, Danielle Thomson and also our new Material Sales Team Member, Monika Holowiecka were featured.

Danielle Thomson

Logistics Administrator

Danielle joined the team late 2017 with more than 15 years office administration experience including legal secretarial work. Danielle is kept busy being in constant contact with hauliers and also suppliers to ensure customers have the most up to date information regarding material deliveries.

Monika Holowiecka

Material Sales Team

Monika joined the Material Sales Team in January 2018. Her role entails finding required materials for clients, and making sure they can be delivered in an acceptable timeframe. Maintaining good customer relationships is of paramount importance.

Double polymer award success

We were delighted end the fantastic year being honoured with one polymer award and also shortlisted for another award.

Pictured below is our sixth consecutive annual Class 1 supplier award from Mitsubishi Electric.

They are a long-standing customer of ours so we are especially proud of this on-going recognition.

The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards

Hardie Polymers were short-listed for these awards in the Business Innovation category.
