We’re finalists: The Herald’s Top Employer Awards 2025

We’re delighted to share the news that Hardie Polymers has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Herald’s Top Employer Awards 2025.

We’ve been recognised in the Best Training and Skills Development Initiative category – a reflection of the commitment we’ve made to supporting our people and investing in their future.

At the heart of this achievement is our WOW Programme (Way of Working) – our bespoke framework that brings together our core values, personal development, and clear career pathways for every member of the team. It’s built on the belief that when our people grow, the business grows too.

Throughout the past few years, since our management buyout and rebrand in 2021, our business has more than doubled in size – from seven to 16 people – and our revenue has grown from £4.7m to £8.2m, with £10m firmly in sight. This success has only been possible due to the skills, commitment and passion of our people, and the culture we’ve created together.

Through the WOW Programme, we provide everyone with a tailored training plan – whether that’s technical qualifications, leadership programmes, academic partnerships, or hands-on industry experience. The results have been inspiring: colleagues developing specialist expertise, moving into leadership roles, and taking centre stage at trade shows and industry events.

Most importantly, the impact is clear in how our team feels. Our 2025 Employee Survey told us that:

  • 100% of our people are proud to work at Hardie Polymers
  • 100% feel connected to our values
  • 100% are excited about the company’s future

Isy Ferguson, Managing Director at Hardie Polymers, said: “We couldn’t ask for a better endorsement of what we’re building together.

“Being shortlisted as a finalist in these awards is recognition not just of a programme, but of the people who make Hardie Polymers what it is. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far – and even more excited about what comes next.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on Wednesday 29th October 2025, and whatever the outcome, we’re proud to stand alongside some of Scotland’s most forward-thinking employers.
